Cona
A vibrant Highstreet Coffee and Nail Salon in the heart of London. CONA is a unique conceptual space combining a coffee shop and a nail salon. Conveniently located on Goodge Street at the heart of central London.

Street Life
The bright coral-fluted façade treatment curving around the shopfront and an undulating awning make sure Cona stands out on the street. The serving counter starts from the outside, drawing customers through the space while an intricately designed servery window folds open to engage the surrounding streetscape, attracting valuable passing trade.

Designed to delight the senses of those who enter and arouse the curiosity of passers-by, this coffee-shop-meets-nail bar in the heart of central London is one of a kind. Joy and a sense of play infuse the design with a vibrant mix of colours, multi-layered material selection and soft recurring curves. From the shopfront to the café and the salon space beyond, Cona is an unforgettable experience.

Colour Story
Colour delineates spaces while creating an immersive and sensory experience. The coral façade and counter invite customers into the calming pastel hues of the café and waiting area before entering the brightly toned salon at the back of the space. Cooler terrazzo flooring in the café makes way for warmer tones in the salon. Here, the fluted treatment from the façade returns, wrapping around the nail station and other elements. Pigmented microcement panels line the lower half of the walls echoing the tiling in the café space, creating a cohesive feel across the different uses.

Creating Curves
Given Cona’s interesting dual programme of use, central London location and target clientele, we developed a design that arouses curiosity, attracts trade and sparks joy. Yes, it’s Instagrammable, but it’s much more than that – it’s an intelligent, characterful design that reflects the brand while creating a memorable experience for everyone who encounters it.
The curve theme continues throughout, connecting the spaces with arched openings ushering customers into the salon while oval-shaped tiles reminiscent of classic manicures line the café walls.
