Addison Studios

Our home.

We are breathing new life into this beautiful Victorian Mission Church in Brook Green. Our aim is to create a sustainable and dedicated architectural studio for the foreseeable future, along with four unique mews houses.

We are retrofitting this building to really sustain a building that has been the centre of this west London community for over 100 years, hopefully making sure is stays at the centre of this community and is resilient to future change through its range of uses. We are keeping as much of the existing building fabric as possible, including the original Victorian Truss work being expressed throughout, and reinstating rose windows and restoring the original brickwork detailing. Celebrating the character of the existing building through careful and thoughtful interventions.
Our new studio aims to really put our core beliefs into practice. Sustainable re-use of our existing building fabric in the UK is vital in hitting our collective carbon reduction targets by 2035 and in so doing we want to show what is possible through creative thought underpinned by an integrity and belief in intelligent design.

Town houses

The townhouses have been individually and thoughtfully designed to create 4 new homes, each one unique. The material palette of new crittal style glazing and retained original brickwork enhances the Victorian heritage of the building and enables modern living in a characterful setting.
Double height rooms capitalise on the original form of the building to create stunning architectural living spaces flooded with natural daylight through the extensive glazing.

Each house benefits from sustainable heating and energy utilising air source heat pumps and heat recovery ventilation systems throughout.
